All the time I am coming across more, "Your computer has become infected with a virus, spyware, or any other harmful thing! Get our new virus protection!" No, these are lies to get you to DOWNLOAD spyware or viruses. If you have the correct protection you are safe from these things. I currently run Nod 32 and even though you have to pay for it, it is an extremely good program. If an Administrator was to allow it I could post links to the good Virus protection software.

I guess this Ulead thing but not sure
and some other thing that scans downloads and when theres at least one problem with it, it gets blocked and have to download again

Obviously if it's where an ad on a site normally is, why would you click it? If it's a pop-up (not online) from your current virus protection service, then click it. If it's not, don't click the 'X-out;' some have that wired to download malicious software anyway. Close it by right-clicking on it in the toolbar and clicking the X Close____Alt+F4 or better yet (if you know how to work it), end the process by pressing ctrl+alt+del, going to the Processes tab, select the executable that's running it, And click the End process button (it might ask you if you're sure you want to end the process, click yes).

Sage they're harder than that. Yesterday I got a pop-up with my firefox blocker on I clicked x and it brought me to the website. I then closed the site
went to my applications ended it and it still brought me back. Through many failed attempts I finally just logged off and back on.
