Oh yes, Nintendo has come up with something good. They're re-releasing a couple of Gamecube games with slightly updated graphics and Wii controls (Point and Click, Swing, etc.). They call it "Play on Wii" in Japan, and "New Play Control!" in North America. The first game scheduled for release for "New Play Control!" is Donkey Kong Jungle Beat on December 11, 2008 in Japan, followed by a new version of Pikmin on December 25, 2008, also in Japan. Other games planned for release include Chibi-Robo!, Pikmin 2, Mario Power Tennis, Metroid Prime, and Metroid Prime 2: Echoes — all scheduled for release in 2009.

Pikmin and Mario Power Tennis are the only games in the group so far confirmed for a North American release, also scheduled for 2009. Now, I went to Gamefly to look to see when Pikmin is gonna be released, since I'm in love with the series, and they said it's scheduled for March 11th.

I have no news about Austrailia or Europe, however.
