Yes, but in it, you cannot "directly" control him (you technically control Mario who controls Yoshi). However, you can control him in the Super Smash Bros. Series.

mario is a baby so technically mario does not know how to control where a dinosaur is suposed to move, so yoshi just walks and lets mario ride on his back

...Darn it! I'm thinking of the first SMW. The whole "let's switch the name from Super Mario Bros to Super Mario World" threw me off for a second there. But my Super Smash Bros. point still stands. On second thought, forget it. I'm tired of all the pointless debates I get myself into.
Now for a Kirby question:
Where did all of the vehicles in Kirby Air Ride come from? Were they in any of the other Kirby games, or did Nintendo come up with them on the spot?

some of the vehicles were made up

and some of the vehicles have been in kirbys older games

Another question:

Why doesn't yoshi talk?

he does talk, but only in a few game.
